Meet Dr. Gupton

Dr. Sally Gupton has dedicated her life to providing the finest orthodontic care possible resulting in healthy, beautiful smiles for her patients. Her dedication to excellence and quality has prevailed throughout her career.

A passion for healthy smiles began at Grove City College where Dr. Gupton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. She moved on to Temple University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated 6 months early and at the top of her class. Her training was completed at Albert Einstein Medical Center with a 3-year orthodontic residency with basic science program from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Gupton began her career teaching Operative Dentistry at Temple University and practicing as an Emergency Room Dentist at Phoenixville Hospital. She practiced as an orthodontic associate in the Philadelphia area before opening her practice in 1988 in Fort Washington.

She was a founding member of the American Lingual Orthodontic Society and worked for over twenty years on inside “lingual” braces. She served on the task force of one of the major orthodontic supply companies meeting to develop state of the art orthodontic techniques and materials. She holds memberships in The American Dental Association, The American Association of Orthodontists, and The Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Gupton’s large private practice treats both adults and children using a variety of clinical treatment modes including Titanium and Ceramic brackets and Invisalign. She is a Diamond (top 1%) provider with Invisalign. She has state of art software and 3D printing which allows her to tweak with her own in-house clear custom aligners. She uses Carriere Motion Appliances, Herbst appliances, and protraction face masks to facilitate treatment and tooth movement. She routinely participates in adult reconstruction cases requiring a team approach frequently using orthognathic surgery and/or implants along with orthodontic care.

She has been elected to Best Dentists in America, has won Best Orthodontist for Bucks Mont Intelligencer and has won Best Orthodontist in Montgomery County for several years thanks to many appreciative patients. She has been voted by her peer group to Best of Philly (Philadelphia Magazine), Best of Mainline Dentistry, and Best of Suburban Life.

In her time out of the office, Dr. Gupton enjoys tennis, pilates, cooking and gardening. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her children and traveling.
